Woodgate Wines

The name Woodgate is the locality name in which the vineyard is located. The vineyard sits adjacent to a wooded residential development of the same name. The feature of the area is the beautiful forest surrounding it.

The vineyard is nestled in a valley with magnificent stands of Karri trees on one side and Jarrah, Marri forests to the other. The soils are light brown gravely to sandy loams over clay at depth. These are good soils for viticulture as they will not promote excessive vigour. The vines have to work a little bit and this coupled with the mild growing season climatic conditions allows for excellent flavour development in the grapes and hence these beautiful wines.
